Opinion: Grading Michigan’s Governor & Legislator’s
Oh the webs they weave in Lansing to the detriment of the taxpayer’s and our once great State! Where do I start? I could site a thousand or more examples but don’t want to bore the “sheeple” with facts unlike the popular TV shows which garner their attention much more than the representatives they elect. With votesmart being the keyword and I don’t mean what you hear on the local liberal news stations, read in the local liberal newspapers, or what friends and family may tell you without the research to back it up.

Most government’s whether local, state, or federal have websites as to obtain information on how we as citizens are being represented, although not easy to navigate and I think this is purposely intentional. With the Internet at our finger tips, don’t have access try your local library you pay for it, every citizen can research the one’s they vote for as to represent them. If this was done one would see clearly that what they are told by those running for the opportunity to represent them is usually not the case it’s just their election time rhetoric to persuade you to vote for them. Once in office they become lobbyist for the various special interest groups instead of lobbyist for you and your best interest because you see you do not have the financial resources to donate to their campaign re-election coffers!

In conclusion casting your vote for representation because it’s a friend, because you were told by a friend, a friend knows them, or just taking someone else’s recommendation is just not good enough for the representation we a citizens expect and deserve. If they have been in office and it’s clear they have been getting the job done of properly representing you, your family, and in the best interest of your community then fine, if not vote them out! It’s not about Democrats and Republicans it’s about the representation you should be receiving from your elected official who has gained your vote and trust. I can assure you with the research I have done that despite what you hear in the media that the two party’s dislike each other they in fact work together for their agenda and not yours!

MESSA quietly changes policy to gouge more money from schools
Our fear is that many school boards will be attracted to the short-term savings, sign up for MESSA, then experience the horror of double-digit rate increases in subsequent years. Schools will pay more for employees if their family status changes during the year.

Granholm’s folly? Electric-car founder says electrics are not the future
In a devastating critique of electric cars just coming into showrooms, the co-founder of electric car maker Tesla says that electrics will never be more than a niche market. Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm and President Barack Obama have awarded billions in taxpayer dollars to battery companies and electric infrastructure.

State of Embarrassment: The Michigan Economic Development Authority
Governors often use their official State of the State addresses to do a little bragging, and Gov. Jennifer Granholm’s February, 2010 outing was no exception. Unfortunately, what was intended as an “economic development” victory lap – citing companies expected to create jobs thanks to selective tax breaks and subsidies provided by her administration – has become a series of embarrassing blunders including Hangar42 studios (Grand Rapids), GlobalWatt, Inc. (Saginaw), and Unity Studios (Allen Park).  an analysis of Michigan’s “flagship” incentive program (MEGA) revealed that less than 30 percent of the jobs ever come to pass. Even that figure is just a strict accounting. Econometric analyses show MEGA creates no new net jobs. The MEDC should be eliminated and its many failed programs repealed in favor of across-the-board reforms.

Bad Week for Michigan Corporate Welfare Machine
On Thursday the plug was officially pulled on a monumentally hyped film infrastructure deal in Allen Park called “Unity Studios.” There were no press releases from the Governor’s office or the Michigan Economic Development Corp. announcing the evaporation of the mirage, but they had plenty to say when its promoters were granted their first batch of state corporate welfare promises in 2009:

‘Schizophrenic’ State Planning
Horse racing industry is both victim of state efforts to kill gambling and beneficiary of state efforts to subsidize gambling. Ronald Reagan once famously quipped that government economic experts have a simple motto: “If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.” When it comes to horse racing, Michigan government’s economic experts appear able to implement more than one of these seemingly contradictory plans at a time.

The Michigan Economic Development Corporation has been no stranger to controversy during this year, with perhaps the most exceptional case being its attempt to give a special tax deal to a company run by a convicted felon.

The Fed and the United Nations
On November 8, 2002 Ben Bernanke publicly admitted to Milton Friedman that the Federal Reserve System had created the Great depression. Mr. Bernanke finished by saying, “You’re right, we did it. We’re very sorry. But thanks to you, we won’t do it again.” It appears that Mr. Bernanke was lying. The Federal Reserve System caused the Great Depression by expanding the money supply much faster than the economy was expanding and creating easy credit.

Fraud Factories: Rep. Alan Grayson Explains the Foreclosure Fraud Crisis
My question is: Where has Mike Cox, Attorney General for the State of Michigan been during all the FRAUD foreclosures taking place in our state? I know that complaints have been filed with his office. Was Mike Cox just to busy campaigning for Governor? What about now?

President Obama & Hillary Clinton as VP for 2012?
The rumored Democratic “dream ticket” of President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is “on the table” for 2012, says journalist Bob Woodward. Clinton’s advisers see it as a “real possibility,” he says, and White House insiders may have discussed trading Vice President Joe Biden for Clinton to energize the Democratic base.

The Disgrace of the Ruling Class
We now have confirmation that Barack Obama truly loves poor people. Because he is creating so many of them. The Census Bureau reports that America suffers with more people in poverty now than ever before in its history of reporting on poverty — 44 million. That’s up nearly 4 million in the last year alone, with the poverty rate shooting up to 14.3%. One in seven Americans now suffers in poverty.

Michigan ObamaCare Lawsuit Rejected by Judge
A federal judge on Thursday upheld the authority of the federal government to require everyone to have health insurance, dealing a setback to groups seeking to block the new national health care. Judge George Caram Steeh who was appointed by President Clinton, and is [or was] President of the Arab American Bar Association, made the ruling Oct. 7th in Detroit. This is why we need to elect constitutional judges to the bench!

Stimulus Program Sent Checks to 89,000 Dead, Incarcerated People
This would be the same Government that will manage our Health Care! The federal government sent out checks to 89,000 dead or incarcerated people in 2009 as part of the $814 billion stimulus program. Some of the dead individuals had not received benefits in 30 years, and would be as old as 136 if they were alive today.

America on the brink of a Second Revolution
OK, maybe most Americans just silently mimic the words, “we’re mad as hell, won’t take it any more.” But watch out: After November the campaign’s shrill rhetoric explodes into action. So thanks Tea Party, Vegas odds must favor a Second American Revolution. Actually, the revolution is already roaring, hot, it’s about time. The GOP and the Dems had more than a decade. But America’s worse off. We need a real revolution to restore sanity … or we can kiss democracy and capitalism good-bye, permanently.
