Quote of the week
” In public, bin Laden is the pious, self-proclaimed vanguard of a violent Islamic uprising. Alone in his compound, he’s beating it like it owes him cash.” – Spencer Ackerman

“In Barnes v. State of Indiana, the Indiana Supreme Court held on May 12th `that there is no right to reasonably resist unlawful entry by police officers. (emphasis added)’ However, the facts of the case as recited in the decision show that this holding went far beyond those facts to intrude, absurdly, into Fourth Amendment jurisprudence.” more…

“A month ago I heard folks talking online about a virtual currency called bitcoin that is untraceable and un-hackable. Folks were using it to buy and sell drugs online, support content they liked and worst of all — gasp! — play poker.
“Bitcoin is a P2P currency that could topple governments, destabilize economies and create uncontrollable global bazaars for contraband.” more… [Here’s a technical paper about the BitCoin technology.]

Well, it’s Sunday afternoon. It’s been quite the weekend. Got the garden planted, got the beginnings of a training dummy going in the back yard. I’ll have more to say about the training dummy when it’s finished, probably a hole post with pictures. It’s going to be pretty cool, and finally I’ll have a place for a bag to hit.
The garden is looking good: yellow squash, rosemary, thyme, basil, tomatoes, dill, chives, garlic, green beans, parsley, poblanos, jalapenos, and green onions. It’s actually pretty cool, the parsley came back from last year and we’ve got a ton of it already! I’m looking forward to the poblanos, they make good rellenos.
Meanwhile, Wonderful Wife is doing pretty good, as is Baby Girl. She is loving the warm weather! As we all are I suppose.
Otherwise not too much else to tell. With all due luck I’ll be back on schedule next week. We shall see! Have a great week!
